Things You Need to Know About IB

IB is one two-year course that is begun in the Junior year & competed in the Senior year. The title of the course is History of the Americas. US History is covered in the junior year, while the history of Canada & Latin America is covered in the senior year. Both classes are taught at the college level.

In order to gain credit from the IB Organization for this class, students must successfully complete a series of evaluations that include 3 essay tests and a research project known as an Internal Assessment (IA).

IB History 1 & 2 are carefully designed to provide students with the information required to be successful on the IB evaluations. In addition to preparing for the IB Test, IB History 1 also prepares the student to pass the TAKS Test taken in the junior year.
